A one-stop shop of Australian Design and Manufacture for all of your office systems and supply needs.
The Watts name has been associated with quality furniture since 1922 when Ellis Watts (snr) began making bedroom furniture in a shed behind a Sydney suburban home. The name EW Watts & Sons became synonymous with government contract office furniture through the 1950s to the 1980s. Stephen Watts, grandson of the original Ellis Watts, founded Watts Commercial Furniture (WCF) in 1985 at Taren Point in Sydney NSW. As Watts Commercial Furniture grew, we moved first into the Rockdale factory in 1990 and then again as growth has required larger facilities. Our current location at Bankstown NSW was first occupied in November 1997.
Watts Commercial Furniture is proud to be wholly Australian owned and is a strong advocate of Australian manufacturing, using Australian made products wherever possible.
Government Supplier (SCM0771)
Watts Commercial Furniture is nominated as an advanced registered supplier for the Prequalification scheme (SCM0771) for the supply of office furniture to the NSW Government. As part of our ISO 9001:2015 accredited quality management system and ISO 14001:2015 accredited environmental management system, we constantly seek to improve the quality of our products and processes, in line with evolving OH&S and environmental requirements and market needs.

Sustainability
Watts commercial furniture (WCF) is a proud bearer of the ISO14001:2015 Certification (an industry standard for Environmental Management Systems). As part of our ongoing commitments to the environment, we have implemented many systems to reduce both our energy usage and waste output.
- In the period of 2018-2019 we have reduced our general waste output by 11%. This has been achieved through staff training and initiating various recycling programs with our suppliers.
- During the same time period, WCF has reduced our electricity consumption by 7%.
- Staff have been educated on energy saving measures throughout the factory and office to further reduce our energy consumption.
Looking toward the future, we are studying the viability of installing solar panels on our premises.
In addition to waste and energy reduction, WCF is committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Dust Management systems are in place to minimise environmental pollution, as well as procedures for the correct storage, handling and disposal of chemicals and potentially hazardous materials.
WCF in conjunction with our suppliers and waste management specialists have committed to recycling or re-using all of our:
- Paper and cardboard | Co-mingled aluminium glass and plastic for staff kitchens | MDF Coversheets | Aluminium and steel cut offs | Timber pallets | Toner and ink cartridges with RICOH | E-waste products | Soft Plastics
WCF is committed to environmental sustainability. Through our waste management programs and various staff training initiatives, WCF embraces being an environmentally responsible member of the community.
Quality
Watts Commercial Furniture (WCF) manufactures and supplies a wide range of high quality commercial furniture to Government Departments and Corporate Organisations. WCF is a one stop shop where we design, manufacture and install all of our systems and products.
All members of the organisation are actively involved in the process of continuous improvement, which is monitored against measureable objectives. We do this by ensuring the implementation and ongoing improvement of an Integrated Management System of processes and procedures to reduce risk, exploit opportunities, in the company’s commitment to meeting its customer needs and expectations.
Our quality objectives include striving for continual improvement in our systems, products and services through on-going staff training and development; seeking and responding to customer feedback; and through providing a world’s best practice safe working environment.

As part of our continuing environmental commitments, we commit to taking back the products supplied at the end of their serviceable life to re-use, recycle or repossess the applicable components.
A nominal fee for the product reclamation service will be determined prior to product retrieval.
